We ship every order in wool-lined, compostable, recyclable packaging, no polystyrene nightmares, just cool food and a happy planet. Hot looks, cool goods.
We only roll with packaging that’s as green as our British fields. lined with 100% sheep’s wool insulation, fully biodegradable and compostable, and absolutely kinder to the earth than polystyrene. That’s either Puffin Packaging or its sibling ethos provider, Woolpack, both at the cutting edge of eco insulation.
Wool-padded Insulation. Naturaly Genius.
- Made with responsibly sourced British (or European) wool, washed, scoured, heat-treated, nothing nasty there. It’s hygienic, food-safe, and wrapped inside recyclable pelican-grade PE film.
- Wool naturally absorbs humidity, minimizing condensation in transit and keeping your smoked goods cool and fresh for 24+ hours.
Why We Love It (and think you will, too)
- Compostable from wool to soil: toss the wool liner in your home composter and it breaks down within months, releasing nitrogen and other nutrients.
- Recyclable outer packaging: The outer pouch/liners are in recyclable food-grade PE film or cardboard. Many councils now accept soft plastics, or better yet, return it for reuse.
- Lower emissions, bigger impact: Our woolpack solution yields up to 41% less carbon footprint than polystyrene, with outstanding thermal performance.
It Keeps Cold Longer
Independent tests show wool-insulated pouches keep food chilled for a full 24 hrs, 60% longer than polystyrene. Plus Woodpack and Puffin wool liners can maintain chill conditions for up to 48 hours (even 96 in ideal conditions).
Certified British Wool (Fancy, huh?)
Our insulation options now include certified 100% British Wool liners, developed in partnership with the University of Huddersfield and British Wool. It supports local sheep farms and gives your packaging even steeper green credentials.
